Crit Ledger Feedback

Privacy policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

Crit Ledger is a free fan project for keeping track of what you’ve watched of Critical Role. This page explains what it stores about you and why. In short: only what it needs to remember your progress, nothing is sold, and there are no ads or tracking cookies.

What we store

  • If you use it without signing in: when you press “Start watching” or open an episode, we create an anonymous guest account, remembered by a cookie in your browser. It holds no name or email, only your progress and settings. If you sign in later, it moves into your account. Guest accounts that never track anything are deleted after a day, and ones unused for six months after that, and clearing your cookies loses access to one.
  • Your account: when you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive and keep your name, email address and profile picture link, plus the sign-in details those services give us so your login keeps working.
  • Your sessions: while you’re signed in, we keep a session record with the IP address and browser it was created from, so sign-ins can be secured and expired.
  • What you do here: which episodes you’ve watched, where you stopped in each, when you finished them, and your settings (spoilers, auto-skip, watch order, world).

What we don’t do

  • No advertising, no tracking cookies, and no selling or sharing of your data.
  • Our only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in (or remembers your guest account), and it’s set only once you start watching. Your browser may also store a few preferences locally. YouTube’s player may set its own cookies once you play a video (see below).

Other services

  • YouTube: episodes play in YouTube’s embedded player, which uses the YouTube API Services, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode: YouTube sets no cookies until you play a video. When you do, YouTube may set its own cookies and receives information as it would on its own site, under the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage what Google keeps at Google security settings.
  • Google and Discord: used only to sign you in, under their own privacy policies. We ask for your basic profile and email, nothing else.
  • Cloudflare: the site is served through Cloudflare, which sees each request as it passes (your IP address and browser, as any web host would). We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn’t follow you across sites, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: messages sent with the contact form, and the email address if you leave one, are delivered to us by Resend, under the Resend Privacy Policy.
  • Episode information comes from the Critical Role Wiki, CritRoleStats, SponsorBlock and the D&D System Reference Document. We fetch it ahead of time; none of your data is sent to them.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which immediately and permanently removes everything above: your account, sessions, progress and profile. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion.
